About Emma

Photography is my blood; I can most certainly thank my Grandparents for a deep rooted love of photography. My Nanna in particular was never to be found without a camera in hand and her extensive collection of photographs is something treasured by all generations of our family.

As an all round creative person I love the freedom that working as a photographer gives me to indulge my creative side. When I'm not in the Lace and Pearl studio, I can often be found sewing, knitting, crocheting or cross stitching amongst many other hobbies!

I first picked up a camera with a view to it being more than a hobby well over 15 years ago. After I finished University I decided to take further qualifications in photography and it was at this point I really fell in love with the creative process of painting with light!

Lace and Pearl was born when I decided to make the leap and specialise as a boudoir photographer. As a female studio photographer I found more and more women were asking me to do a boudoir photoshoot with them, but I was hampered by bland and boring studios!

Never one to shy away from a challenge, when the opportunity to create my dream photoshoot was presented to me I jumped at the chance. I love photographing women on real life fairytale sets. No digitally manipulated backgrounds for me!

I can honestly say I love what I do and I'm so lucky to have what I consider a dream job. Empowering other women and making them feel confident and beautiful makes all the hard work worth while. The reaction I get when women see their photos for the first time is priceless!
